I got a call from a guy in Spanish Hills, Camarillo. He'd had a spare key cut at a hardware store after his original got lost, and the car sat in his driveway for three days before he called me.
The blade was cut fine. It slid in, turned the cylinder, everything felt right mechanically. But the engine would crank and immediately die. No warning light he could describe clearly, just crank, almost-start, stop. He'd already convinced himself it was a fuel pump.
