A woman near Woodcreek called about a 2006 Jeep Cherokee with a remote head key that had seen better days. I transferred the board and chip into a fresh replacement shell, reseated the CR2032, and verified the blade fit. Then I walked every button, checked range from across the driveway, and confirmed the key started the vehicle without complaint.
She watched the whole thing in about the time it takes to scroll through your phone. When I handed it back, she pressed each button twice like she was testing it herself, which I always like to see.
The dealer wanted to replace parts that were never broken. We just fixed what actually was.
