Got a call from a woman parked in Las Posas Estates in Camarillo. She'd had her 2000 Cherokee towed to her cousin's place after it cranked but wouldn't start. Someone along the way had already told her the fuel pump was probably shot.
It wasn't the fuel pump.

She'd already been quoted a fuel pump replacement by someone else. The actual fix was a replacement transponder key, done in her cousin's driveway, for a fraction of what she was about to spend chasing the wrong problem.
