Not every Jeep owner lives near a dealership. A farm foreman on an avocado grove outside Moorpark had a 2009 Jeep Wrangler that needed a new key. The nearest Jeep dealer was over an hour each way. I used my VVDI2 to clone the transponder chip from his worn original and cut a fresh blade so the vehicle accepted it immediately without a full reprogram. His Fobik, FCC ID OHT692427AA, was a 4-button unit that I rebuilt into a new shell and tested at the property gate.
Two working keys before I left. Total was 185. Dealer route would have been 395 plus two hours of driving or a long-distance tow. For rural customers, mobile service isn't a luxury. It's the only thing that makes sense.
