2020 Jeep Wrangler
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2020 Jeep Wrangler Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A fleet manager at a rental lot off the beaten path in Sea Air, Oxnard called me on a Tuesday. He ran a small operation, mostly Wranglers, and over the months his crew had shuffled fobs between vehicles without keeping track. Nobody knew which key belonged to which Jeep anymore. They were burning time every morning just sorting it out before the first rental pickup.

He called the dealer for three dedicated spares. The quote came back steep, one key at a time, and they wanted each vehicle brought in on a separate day. That meant three separate half-days of pulling a Jeep off the rental rotation. For a small operation, that is a real cost.

I pulled into his lot that morning with everything I needed. All three Wranglers, back-to-back, on site. I cut each blade, ran the programming through the OBD port on each vehicle, and verified every function on every fob before moving to the next one. Lock, unlock, the remaining buttons, proximity detection, push-button start, and the mechanical blade backup. All three done before his first renter showed up to pick up a vehicle.

He said the dealer quote alone would have cost him more than he made off two rental days. He stopped losing rental hours that same week. That is usually how these calls go when someone finally stops waiting and just books the mobile job.
