Out near the High Street Arts Center in Moorpark, a ranch foreman on an avocado grove called me about his 2009 Jeep Wrangler. His only key was beat. The rubber buttons were half gone, the shell was cracked along the seam, and the Y160 blade was so worn it barely turned the ignition cylinder without jiggling.

I pulled up on the original with my programmer, read the ID46 crypto data, and cloned it onto a fresh Fobik blank. Cut a new Y160 blade on my mobile key machine, swapped the guts into a clean shell so the buttons actually felt like buttons again, and tested everything at the property gate. Lock, unlock, hatch, panic, and a clean start with no security light.
He watched me do the second key the same way. Two working Fobiks before I packed up.
He said something that stuck with me. "I figured I'd just keep wiggling the old one until it snapped." That is how people lose their only key and end up in the all-keys-lost situation, which takes longer and costs more. Getting the spare made while the original still works is the move.
