Got a call from a guy at The Collection at RiverPark in Oxnard. He was sitting in the parking lot outside one of the restaurants with his 2008 Range Rover Sport, one key to his name, and the flip blade had just snapped at the pivot pin.

I got there in about 40 minutes. Pulled the broken stub out of the ignition cylinder, which was the part he was most nervous about. It came out clean with an extractor, no lock damage. Cut a fresh HU101 blade, set it in a new flip shell, moved his original transponder board over so the CAS module would recognize it without any programming drama, then synced the remote side through OBD using JLR-compatible diagnostics.
He flipped the key open and closed a few times like he was testing a lighter. Then started it, locked it, unlocked it, popped the tailgate. Everything clean.
The whole thing took maybe 35 minutes. He drove home with a working key and kept his dinner reservation. No tow, no two-week wait, no parts-order limbo.
