Got a call from someone near Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara. Their 2009 G-Class keys were stolen out of a bag at the beach. Not lost. Stolen. That changes the job.

I pulled up, connected through the OBD port, and accessed the EIS module. On these W463 FBS3 systems the EIS stores key data in slots, and every previously programmed key was still active. I read the module, wiped all the old key profiles, then wrote two fresh IYZ-3312 remote head keys into clean slots. Cut the HU64 blades on the van, tested both mechanically in the door and ignition, then confirmed IR and RF function on all four buttons.
The part that mattered most to this person wasn't the programming. It was hearing me say, "Those old keys are dead now. They won't turn the ignition, they won't unlock a single door." They just kind of exhaled and said, "Okay. Good."
Whole thing took about 40 minutes on site. No tow, no waiting on a dealer parts order, no week-long hold on a loaner. Just handled, right there in the parking area.
