Not every Dodge owner lives near a dealer. A ranch hand on a horse property outside Imperial Beach had a 2021 Dodge Durango that needed a new key. The nearest Dodge dealer was over an hour each way. I used my VVDI2 to pull the PIN and clone the transponder chip from his worn original to a new fob so the truck accepted it without a full OBD reprogram. His Fobik, FCC ID M3N-40821302, was a 5-button unit that I rebuilt into a new shell and tested at the property.
He had two working keys before I left. Total was $257. The dealer route would have been $441 plus two hours of driving or a long-distance tow. For rural customers, mobile service isn't a luxury. It's the only thing that makes sense.
