Her 2021 Honda Pilot was in the lot with zero keys. She drove home that night. Total was $249 for two new keys. The dealer estimated $446 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. The stolen key can still physically open the door, but the immobilizer won't let the engine start. She had two fresh keys and the old one was effectively dead to the car.
