A guy over in East Lemon Grove had been nursing his 2003 Grand Cherokee ignition for about three weeks before he called me. The key would go in fine, but turning it had become a project.

He'd already called the dealer. They quoted him a new cylinder, a new key, and programming. The number they gave him was the kind that makes you pause. He didn't need any of that. He needed the actual problem fixed, not a parts swap that covered it up.
