2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Seven Oaks is one of those neighborhoods in Rancho Bernardo where the HOAs actually run things. The woman who called me was the association president for a condo complex, and she had an unusual problem: she needed spare keys for her personal 2021 Grand Cherokee and for two maintenance vehicles the HOA owned outright. Three separate vehicles, all needing spares, all on a fixed quarterly budget.
The dealer had already quoted her. She told me the number and I understood immediately why she was making calls instead of appointments.
I met her at the condo office on a weekday afternoon. She had two tenant calls to handle during the job and apologized in advance for the interruptions. I told her not to worry about it.
The 2021 Grand Cherokee uses a five-button smart fob and the system stores keys in the body control module. Before I started programming multiple fobs in a single session, I backed up the module data. That's just how I work on multi-key jobs. If something hiccups on the third or fourth key learn, I want a safety net, not a second problem.
She stayed nearby, handled her calls, and I worked through all three vehicles one at a time. Every fob tested before I moved to the next vehicle. Every button confirmed. By the time she finished her second tenant conversation, I was done with the last one.
She said the HOA board approved the expense the same week, which I took as a compliment.
