Then I connected through OBD and ran the Jeep all-keys-lost sequence, which clears any previous keys from the wireless control module and learns the new fob as primary. His Remote Head Key, FCC ID OHT692427AA, was cut, programmed, and tested right there in the dirt. I cut him a spare too.
His Jeep started in the campsite lot. Total was around $185. Dealer wanted $395 plus a tow and a weekday appointment.
