2019 Lexus LS
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

Q: How do I know EZ Car Keyz is not one of those scam locksmith operations?

That is a fair thing to ask, and the scam pattern is real. A fake listing, a low quote on the phone, and then a number that doubles when the tech shows up. They usually arrive in an unmarked car and cannot name the company they work for. EZ Car Keyz has over 100,000 followers across YouTube and TikTok. You can watch us perform this exact type of work before you ever call.

Q: Will the replacement smart key work exactly like my original 2019 Lexus LS fob?

Yes. Once the new fob is registered to your vehicle, it functions the same as the original. We test every function on site before we close the job. One thing worth knowing: Lexus LS owners have reported cases where a vehicle security or keyless entry setting was toggled off in the vehicle's settings menu, making it look like a fob failure when nothing was actually wrong with the key hardware or its registration. We diagnose the actual problem first.

Q: I have a working key but the 2019 LS shows a key-not-detected warning intermittently. Do I need a new fob?

Not necessarily. Intermittent key-not-detected warnings on this generation are one of the more common complaints you will find from LS owners, and the cause is not always the fob itself. A few things to check first: the CR2032 voltage can read acceptable on a basic tester but still drop under the load the vehicle demands during communication. Swap the battery with a name-brand cell and see if the behavior changes.

Q: I lost both smart keys for my 2019 Lexus LS. Can new keys be made without going to the dealer?

Yes. All-keys-lost on the 2019 LS is a job we handle. It requires professional diagnostic equipment and the correct procedure for this generation's immobilizer, which involves a security data access step and a timed registration sequence. The old registered fobs get cleared out so they cannot be used to start the car. Plan for roughly 45 to 60 minutes on site. The dealer will tell you the same thing takes multiple days and requires the car to be towed in.

2019 Lexus LS Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I was working a call out near Del Mar Village when this one came in. A driver had pulled off the road in his 2019 Lexus LS and the smart fob had just stopped being recognized.

The car was sitting there, start button unresponsive, no warning about a dead battery, nothing obvious. He had already done the thing most people do: held the fob closer to the button, pressed harder, switched hands. None of it worked.

When I got there, first thing I did was the basics. Pulled the CR2032, checked the voltage, seated a fresh one. Still nothing. So I went deeper.

The fob itself had a hairline crack along the seam that he had not noticed, and the internal board had shifted just enough that the antenna was not sitting where it needed to be. Not a dead fob, not a system fault. A physical problem inside the case that looked totally fine from the outside.

I transferred everything to a new fob shell, reseated the board properly, verified the registration through my diagnostic equipment, and walked every function. Start button response, door handles, all four buttons, the whole run. It came back clean.

He mentioned a dealer had quoted him a full fob replacement plus a programming fee and a wait of several days. We were done on site in under an hour. He drove off the same afternoon.
