2002 Subaru Forester Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Out in Bostonia, a guy had just landed after a backpacking trip abroad and walked straight to the parking garage where his 2002 Forester had been sitting for a few weeks. He clicked the fob. Nothing. Clicked again. Still nothing.
The car was locked. His spare key blade was zipped into his backpack, which was in the trunk. The trunk wouldn't pop without the remote. He'd been traveling long enough that the CR2025 had given out somewhere over the Pacific.
The dealer told him Thursday. It was Tuesday morning. A tow was going to cost him more than he'd spent on food for the last week.
He found EZ Car Keyz and called. I was at the garage inside 45 minutes.
Getting the door open was the first step. Once he was in, he found the blade in the pack and confirmed the ignition side was never the problem. The fob battery was completely dead. Fresh CR2025, a quick re-sync, and the remote was talking to the car again.
He stood there clicking lock and unlock like he was making sure it was real. Then he popped the trunk himself, put his bag in properly this time, and drove home that same morning.
The dealer comparison didn't even come up until he was already leaving. He just said something like "I figured it'd be more." It wasn't.
