2025 Subaru Forester Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
The call came from the Poway Business Park on a Tuesday morning. A case worker had a 2025 Subaru Forester and one fob between her and her whole day. She wanted a spare, not a crisis.
Before she called me, she did something most people skip. She looked up my BSIS license number on the state website. She told me she'd had a bad experience with an unlicensed operator on a previous job, someone who handed her a receipt with no company name and a phone number that went cold a week later. So she checked.
I was already in the area, pulled into the business park lot, and she met me at the car. We talked through what she needed while I set up. A second fob programmed to the car, so she wasn't running single-key on a vehicle she depends on every day.
The programming side went clean. I paired the new fob to the vehicle's security system through the diagnostic port, confirmed it could start the car, verified the lock, unlock, and all the other buttons, and then walked the door handles to make sure the passive entry was reading both fobs correctly. Extracted the emergency blade from the new fob and confirmed that fit the door cylinder too.
She asked about the dealer option. She'd called them before reaching out to me. The number they quoted her was the kind of number that makes you put the phone down and look for a second opinion. She saved a good chunk going the mobile route, and didn't have to leave the parking lot.
