Dropped a fresh CR2032 in, synced the remote, and started testing. Three clean starts, lock and unlock from across the sidewalk, trunk release, and a range check walking about forty feet down the block. She stood there watching me walk away clicking buttons like I was lost.
The whole thing took maybe thirty minutes. A dealer would have quoted days of wait time on a special-order key for a car this old, plus a tow to get it there. She drove home the same afternoon.
