A guy near the Woolworths Building downtown in Oxnard lost his only fob somewhere between coffee and the parking lot. Searched his pockets, retraced every step, nothing. His 2014 X6 just sat there. Once I had the ISN, I calculated a fresh key slot, wrote the ID7944 transponder, and programmed the NBGIDGNG1 fob. Four buttons: lock, unlock, trunk, panic.

He pressed start. The N55 turned over clean on the first push.

The whole job, door decode through engine running, took about an hour. He stood there watching most of it, quiet, like he was waiting for something to go wrong. Nothing did. He drove home the same day, no tow truck, no loaner car, no follow-up appointment.
