Got a call from a guy in Oxnard near Oxnard College. He was standing in a parking garage after hours with zero keys for his 2017 X6. The whole thing ran about 40 minutes. The longest stretch was the data extraction from the BDC, which has a timed handshake you just have to wait through.
He sat on a concrete barrier watching me work. When the dash lit up and the start button fired the engine, he just exhaled. That was the whole reaction. Just relief.
He drove home that night. The dealer was closed, would have needed a tow, and would have taken days for a VIN-matched key order. I had everything on the van.
