2023 Cadillac CT4 Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman over in Samarkand called me on a Tuesday morning. She'd come out to her CT4 in the driveway, hit the unlock button, and nothing happened. Car sat there, doors locked, no response from the fob at all.
She'd already swapped the battery. That was the first thing she told me, and I appreciated it because it moved us faster. She used a CR2032 she had in a drawer. That's the wrong cell for this fob, which takes a CR2450. Common mix-up because they look similar enough if you're not checking the number on the cell.
I pulled up in front of her place with the right battery already in my hand. Popped the fob, seated the CR2450 correctly, and she had remote function back inside two minutes. We tested every button, walked both doors, confirmed the car was responding normally.
She laughed a little when I told her what the issue was. Said she'd been convinced the whole key had died and was mentally prepared for a long day at the dealer.
It wasn't a long day. It was a Tuesday morning in Samarkand, fixed in her driveway, before she finished her coffee.
