She landed after a cross-country flight, walked to the airport cell phone lot where her husband had left the car, and her 2002 Chrysler Town & Country wouldn't respond to the FOBIK. Her Transponder Key with FCC ID came back online after a CR2016 swap and a quick reprogram to clear the fault code. She seemed pretty relieved when I told her the fix was that straightforward.
She drove home that same morning. Total was about $141. Dealer would have been $325 plus $185 in towing and a Thursday appointment.
