A weekend reseller at a swap meet parking field in Goleta was certain his 2011 Chrysler Town & Country needed to go back to the dealer for a new FOBIK. His Smart Key, FCC ID IYZ-C01C, was a 7-button FOBIK that I programmed and tested right there. Lock, unlock, ignition turn, all confirmed before he packed up his tables.
His car sat in the same field the entire time and he paid about $283. Dealer wanted $482 and an appointment next week. The car doesn't know whether the FOBIK was programmed in a dealer bay or a dirt parking field. The security handshake is identical either way.
