She was at a brewery patio in Santa Barbara on a first date and her purse was gone. Someone grabbed it from the bench. Car keys, wallet, phone. She borrowed the bartender's phone and called the police first, then her roommate, then me.
Her 2009 Chrysler Town & Country was in the brewery lot with zero keys. The dealer told her roommate they could order a FOBIK but it would take 3 to 5 business days and the car would need to be towed in. They also recommended checking the locks since the stolen FOBIK could still open the doors. Combined estimate was over $700.

AKL means I clear the entire key memory and start fresh so the stolen FOBIK can no longer start the engine. I used my IM608 to access the SKIM module, pull the PIN, wipe the old key data, and program two new keys from scratch. Her FOBIK, FCC ID IYZ-C01C, was a 7-button key. I decoded the lock, cut the blade, and had both FOBIKs working before her roommate even arrived.
She drove home that night. Total was $246 for two new keys. The dealer estimated $424 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. The stolen FOBIK can still physically enter the door lock but the immobilizer won't let the engine start. She had two fresh keys and the old one was dead to the car.
