A muffler shop down near the Waterfront called me about a 2007 Eclipse that had been sitting in their lot for two days. The owner needed a working key, another locksmith had taken a shot at it, gotten an immobilizer fault, and walked away telling the shop the module was probably bad.

The whole job ran about 75 minutes including pulling the module and putting it back. The shop owner was relieved. He'd been looking at a flatbed ride to the Mitsubishi dealer, a multi-day wait, and a bill that would have been a significant chunk more than what I charged. I walked the foreman through what had gone wrong so he'd recognize the signs if it ever came up again on another vehicle.
The Eclipse drove out of that lot the same afternoon it came in.
