I got a call from a guy parked in the Cold Spring neighborhood of Montecito. He drives a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek and his only key had cracked right at the blade pivot point where the plastic housing meets the metal. He watched most of it from the curb. When I handed him the finished key and he pressed the lock button and heard the car chirp back at him, he just kind of laughed quietly. He said he had no idea this was even a mobile job. He thought keys like this were dealer-only.
