2024 Subaru Crosstrek Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A teacher over in Rose Park had picked up a 2024 Crosstrek from an auction lot. Clean car, good shape, one key. She called the Subaru dealer about a spare and got a number she wasn't expecting. She found EZ Car Keyz online and reached out asking if the dealer quote was real.
It was real. Dealers on these newer Subarus aren't just cutting a key. The proximity fob has to be registered to the vehicle through the diagnostic port, and they build that labor into the price. I told her I do the same work, same result, for a lot less.
I met her in Rose Park before she drove it home so she could leave with two working keys the same day. I pulled the fob registration through the OBD port on-site, paired the new fob to her car's security system, and decoded the door lock to cut the emergency blade insert that lives inside the fob. Tested every button. Tested the door handles. Tested push-button start with both fobs back to back so she could watch it work twice.
She drove home with a matched spare. More importantly, she's not one dropped key away from an all-keys-lost situation anymore. That's the real value of the second key.

“I had two fob keys made for my Subaru. Marco provided excellent service and persevered through three parts orders to get the keys I needed. He is very thorough in making sure everything is working properly. Communication and punctuality are also to be commended.”
“Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Locked my keys in my car & he got them out in 5mins tops. Super convenient, perfect timing, affordable prices, nice guy. My new go to!!”
“They got to my location within 20 minutes of my phone call and had my new key+fob ready to go about 18 minutes after he arrived. A new working car key and fob within about 40 minutes and for a VERY reasonable price. I highly recommend. Customer service was great too.”
