2017 Subaru Crosstrek
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2017 Subaru Crosstrek Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Up on Eucalyptus Hill in Montecito, I met a woman who had just picked up a 2017 Crosstrek through a private auction sale. Good shape, clean title, came with exactly one key.

She had already called the Subaru dealer before she called me. They quoted her a number that stopped her cold. She wasn't expecting that for a Subaru, and honestly most people aren't. She found EZ Car Keyz, called to ask if the dealer price was real, and I told her it was, and that I do the same job for a lot less.

I met her at the property before she drove it home. I decoded the blade from her existing door lock right there at the car, cut a fresh key blank to match, and used professional programming equipment to register the new fob to her vehicle's security system. The whole thing took place on the driveway with her watching. No tow, no waiting room, no leaving the car somewhere overnight.

Both keys work. Lock, unlock, start, the whole set of functions. She paid well under what the dealer quoted and drove away with two working keys in her hand.

The dealer comparison was almost an afterthought by the time we were done. What she kept saying was that she hadn't expected it to be this simple.
