The Mirai shares its smart key platform with the Crown and other Toyota models on the same board, so the all-keys-lost procedure is one I have done plenty of times. I used my VVDI Key Tool to generate the transponder data matched to his immobilizer, cut the emergency insert blade on site, and programmed the 4-button fob under parking lot lights.
He drove home that night. The dealer would have meant a tow, a wait until morning, and a bill that would have been a lot harder to swallow. The VIN is the single most useful thing you can give me. Text it before I arrive and the job goes faster.
