I was out in East Santa Paula on a Tuesday when I got the call. Guy had a 2009 Volvo C70, convertible, parked in his driveway. Said his smart key stopped unlocking the doors that morning. He asked if I still needed to reprogram anything. I told him no, the key was already registered to the car. The issue was never the programming. It was the contact. He had the right idea with the battery swap. He just needed the right hands on the next step.

He mentioned he had called the Volvo dealer earlier that day to get a quote for a replacement key before he found me. The number they gave him was enough to make a Tuesday feel a lot more expensive than it needed to be. We kept it at a fraction of that.
