I'm already in Lakeside with Lexus smart key shells, TOY43 blades, 4D and 8A transponder chips, emergency blade inserts, and CR1616 batteries loaded in the van right now. I don't order parts when you call. Everything for your 2000 Lexus RX is in labeled drawers behind my seat.
A couple at the theater near Flinn Springs on a Saturday evening came out and their Lexus wouldn't respond to the fob. Dead battery in the key. They figured they'd leave the car and handle it Monday. Then one of them searched "Lexus locksmith" and found me.
I was 12 minutes away and I had the right fob shell for their Remote Head Key already in stock. Their remote, FCC ID NI4TMTX-1, was a 3-button fob that needed a fresh CR1616 battery and a resync using my VVDI Key Tool. The fob came back online and push-to-start responded on the first press.
They drove home Saturday night. Total was $185. Dealer would have been $395 plus waiting until Monday. When everything is stocked, a call at 9pm on a Saturday is the same as 9am on a Tuesday.
