I was already in the CSUSM Area on a Tuesday when the call came in from a parking lot near the orthodontist off Twin Oaks Valley Road. The owner had a 2016 RX and one working smart key, except it had stopped working entirely sometime between drop-off and pickup. No warning, no gradual fade. Just done.

The dealer visit would have been Thursday at the earliest, a tow if the car could not be driven, and a bill that reflected none of that diagnostic work. She paid a fraction of what they wanted, and she was back on her schedule before school pickup.
