A guy from the Poinsettia neighborhood called me on a Saturday morning. His 2021 X3 was sitting in his driveway and the dash was showing a key warning. He would have dropped the car off Monday, gotten it back Thursday, and the tech would have found the same thing I found in his driveway. He thanked me in that slightly embarrassed way people do when the fix is smaller than the panic was.
That's a big part of the job. Sometimes it's a full key programming session. Sometimes it's reseating a coin cell while the sprinklers run next door.
