Got a call from a woman over near Mandalay Village Marketplace in Port Hueneme. She was at her 1996 Chrysler Cirrus, key wouldn't turn in the ignition. Not a dead battery situation, not an electrical gremlin. The key physically would not rotate.

I cut a fresh key to code on the Y159 blank right there in my van using the vehicle's code pulled from the lock. Slid it in, turned smooth. She sat in the driver's seat and just turned the key back and forth a couple times like she was testing whether it would change its mind.
Whole thing took less time than she spent on the phone trying to get help. No tow, no shop visit, no appointment three days out. Just a fresh-cut key on site for a fraction of what that runaround would have cost her.
