A woman up in the San Ysidro Trail area of Montecito called me on a Monday. She had been at the dentist, came out, and her 2007 Azera cranked fine but would not catch. Engine spun for two seconds, died. Classic SMARTRA2 rejection.

The Azera's Shin Chang immobilizer is cooperative on PIN reads, which keeps the job clean. Cut a new HYN14R blade on site, programmed the ID46 chip, and tested cold starts three times in a row.
The whole thing took about 35 minutes from setup to cleanup.
She sat in the driver's seat after the last test start and just held the steering wheel for a second, like she was making sure the car agreed with her again. Then she drove to work.
Monday call, Monday fix, a fraction of what the dealer wanted, and she kept her whole week on track.
