This is one of the more common complaints on late-model Azera forums and it has a few different causes, which is why it's worth thinking through before assuming the fob is the problem.

First thing to check: position. On push-button start systems, the car needs to detect the fob inside the cabin at a readable signal strength. Leaving the fob at the very bottom of a bag or a deep pocket can drop the signal enough that the vehicle security system won't authorize the start, even with a fresh battery.

Second: make sure you're pressing the brake pedal fully before pressing the start button. Partial brake input is a common one.

If both of those check out and the start button still doesn't respond, the issue moves toward either the fob needing reprogramming, or something on the vehicle side, including the antenna that reads the fob inside the cabin. That antenna lives in the dashboard and the door handles, and owners do occasionally report one dying independently of the fob itself. When I'm on site I can tell quickly which side the fault is on.
