Got a call around 7:45 in the morning from a woman near Simi Valley Hospital. She worked through a staffing agency and was sitting in the lot waiting for her daily assignment. She turned the car over, sat there for a second like she was waiting for something else to go wrong, then just said "okay" and pulled out.
The dealer would have wanted a tow plus a wait for the parts counter to figure out a 27-year-old key code lookup. She paid a fraction of that and kept her placement.
