2005 Nissan 350z REMOTE-HEAD-KEY Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Got a call from a guy out by the Santa Paula Theater Center. Bass fisherman. He had been out at a lake that morning, came back to his 2005 Nissan 350z in the lot, and his only key was gone. Somewhere between the dock and the car, it vanished. He searched for half an hour, checked with people nearby, turned up nothing.
He figured the car was stuck there until he could get it towed to a dealer on Monday. I told him I could be there that afternoon.
I used my NSN14 Lishi tool to pick and decode the driver door lock. It reads each wafer position so I can cut a new blade that matches without ever having the original. The 350z uses a standard Nissan NSN14 keyway, nothing weird there.
Once I had the mechanical cut done, I plugged into the OBD port and ran the NATS5 all-keys-lost procedure through the BCM. That wipes any previously registered transponders and writes the new PCF7936 chip as primary. His remote head key, the CWTWB1U751 with part number H0561-3AA0B, was cut, programmed, and tested on the spot. Doors locked and unlocked from the fob. Ignition turned over clean. I cut him a spare while I was there so he would never be in this spot again.
He drove out of that same lot twenty minutes later.
