I got a call from a guy parked off a side street in North Fillmore, somewhere near the older residential blocks on the north end. Late. He was an overnight stocker and his shift started in an hour. His only key to his 2008 350z was gone. Checked his pockets three times while we were on the phone. Not there.

I walked him through why it takes longer than he expected. Once the new key turned the ignition and the fob locked and unlocked without hesitation, he let out a breath like he'd been holding it the whole time.
He drove to his shift. The dealer would have been closed, and even if they weren't, they'd have needed a tow and a wait. He called me instead and saved himself a serious chunk.
