A home inspector called me from an apartment carport in Midtown Ventura on a Monday morning. He had a job that afternoon and his Juke's Intelligent Key fob had stopped triggering the door handles. The push-button start still worked if he held the fob right against the button, but the passive entry was gone and the remote lock and unlock were hit or miss.

Sometimes a low battery will cause the module to behave strangely even after you replace it, and a minute of normal operation resets things.
He made his afternoon appointment. I was out of there in under an hour. The dealer was still two days away when I left the parking lot.
