Got a call from a woman over near Sapwi Trails Community Park in Thousand Oaks. Her 2004 Celica GT had one key left and the remote was dead. She said she'd been locking the doors by reaching inside and hitting the switch, then closing the door fast. That image stuck with me.

Her Celica runs the older Texas Instruments 4C fixed-code chip, not the newer 4D or Toyota G setup, so the process is clean once the VIN and seed match up.

Cut the blade on the HPC 1200, programmed the transponder, synced the BAB237131-056 remote, and tested lock, unlock, and panic right there in the parking lot. She clicked the lock button from about twenty feet away and just stood there watching the lights flash. No more reach-and-slam.

Whole thing was done for a fraction of what the dealer wanted, and she never left the property.
