VW immobilizer systems from this generation can get protective when you push past the factory key count, and a failed write without a backup means a tow to the dealer. The backup took a few extra minutes, but it is the difference between a smooth job and a bad day.
Programmed the third KR55WK45032 through OBD, synced the ID48 transponder, and tested all three keys side by side. Passive unlock, push start, all four buttons on each fob.
