She had just left urgent care with her kid and a bag of prescriptions in the back seat. Her 2004 Chevrolet Corvette wouldn't start in the parking lot. She pressed the button and nothing happened. I also walked her through the backup start procedure on her Corvette in case a fob ever died on her again.
From her phone call to the engine running was 50 minutes, and it cost $107. The dealer was closed and would have been $224 plus a wait until tomorrow at the earliest. She made it to the pharmacy with 45 minutes to spare. Sometimes the difference between a locksmith and a dealer isn't convenience. It's getting the car running before it becomes a bigger problem.
