2017 Chevrolet Impala Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy at his apartment complex near Downtown Lemon Grove called me on a Tuesday afternoon. He had lost his only key the night before and was already late dealing with it.
He had called the dealer first out of habit, got a quote that made him pause, and was told to tow the car in. He did not have a tow. He found me and asked if I was actually going to show up or just quote him the same thing.
I was at his building in about twenty minutes.
His Impala was sitting in the parking structure, no key, no spare. I pulled out my manual decoder, worked the door lock, read each wafer position, and cut a new blade to match. Then the flip fob went together, the blade seated into the housing, and I connected to the OBD port to enroll the transponder chip and sync the remote functions. Start to finish, about thirty-five minutes in a parking structure with one fluorescent light flickering overhead.
He tried the key twice before he said anything. Then he just asked why the dealer wanted so much more.
Honestly, you are paying for the building, the service bay, the appointment slot, and the tow you needed just to get there. I carry the same key hardware and the same programming equipment, and I come to you. That is the whole difference.
