I got a call from a rideshare driver near a coin laundry off Garden Road Area in Poway. He had already been through it once.
He called one of those discount locksmiths advertising a low-number rate online, the guy showed up and charged a lot more, and the key half-worked. I ran the full sequence through my programmer, confirmed all four buttons, walked every function, and handed it back working the way it was supposed to from the start.
He mentioned the dealer quoted him a number that made him wince before he ever called the first locksmith. What I charged was a fraction of that. He said he wished he'd just called me first. I hear that one a lot.
