2012 Honda Civic Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I was working out of the Poway Business Park on a Tuesday when a woman flagged me down in the parking lot before I'd even pulled into my spot. She needed a spare for her 2012 Honda Civic and had clearly done her homework before calling.
She told me she'd looked up my BSIS license number on the state website before dialing. Her reason was direct: she'd hired an unlicensed locksmith a year earlier and only found out after the job when the receipt had no company name, no working phone number, and no license number. The work looked fine at the time, but she had no way to follow up when a question came up later. That stuck with her.
She was there for a dialysis appointment nearby and had maybe thirty minutes. That was plenty.
I pulled the programming equipment out of the van, cut the blade to her vehicle, transferred the chip and remote electronics into a fresh shell, and programmed the key on site. She watched the whole thing from about four feet away, which I always prefer. No mystery, no "trust me," just the work happening in front of her.
When I handed it over, she tested every button, tried the ignition, and locked and unlocked the doors twice. Then she asked for the receipt. Real company name, real license number, real phone number. She photographed it before it even finished printing.
The dealer had quoted her a number over the phone that made her wince. What she paid me was a fraction of that. But honestly, from what she said, the verifiable paper trail mattered just as much as the price.
