2020 Honda Civic Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Out in San Luis Rey, near the fishing access off the river, a guy called me on a Saturday afternoon. He had been out since early morning, lost his only key somewhere between the water and his car, and his 2020 Civic was sitting in the lot going nowhere.
He had already called the dealer. Monday was the earliest they could see him, and that assumed he could get the car there, which he could not.

When I got there, the car was locked up tight. I got the door open without touching the paint, decoded the key blade from the lock, and cut a fresh replacement key on site. From there I connected through the OBD port, ran the all-keys-lost sequence, wiped the old key from the immobilizer memory, and registered the new fob as the primary key. First press of the start button, the car fired right up.
I cut him a second key before I packed up. He asked why I was doing that without being asked. I told him he was already in the all-keys-lost situation once today, and a spare costs a fraction of what he just went through. He kept both.
Forty-five minutes, start to finish, in a parking lot off San Luis Rey. He drove home that afternoon instead of waiting through the weekend.
