Yes. Broken key extraction is a standard mobile job. I bring the tools to pull the broken piece without damaging the ignition cylinder. Once it is out, I can cut a new key from the extracted piece or from your vehicle's lock data and program it on the spot.

One thing worth knowing on the 2003 Camry specifically: the key housing on these uses a small plastic peg where the blade pivots into the head. That peg fatigues over time, especially on a high-use daily key. Owners on Toyota forums have mentioned snapping that same spot more than once on the same key. If the car cranks but stalls out within a second or two of starting, that is a different problem and the battery has nothing to do with it. That pattern on a 2003 Camry points to the transponder not being recognized by the immobilizer. It could be a damaged chip, a detuned key head that got separated from the ring antenna around the ignition, or a mismatched module if someone swapped a used component without doing a proper relearn. That is a diagnosis job, not a battery job, and that is when you call me.

The catch is that the transponder chip in the new key still has to be the correct type for this vehicle. You can buy an uncut, unprogrammed blank online, but you still need it cut to your ignition and the chip has to be compatible. If you get that part wrong, the sequence runs but the car never accepts the key. All-keys-lost, meaning you have no working key at all, is a different situation entirely. That does require a programmer and a technician. The onboard method only works when at least one valid key is already present.

I bought a used fob online. Why won't it work on my 2003 Camry?

A used fob is already registered to another vehicle. Plug-and-play does not exist here.

The transponder chip inside needs to be erased and re-enrolled to your car's immobilizer, and the remote side needs to be paired to your receiver. Until both of those steps happen, the fob does nothing. The blade also has to be cut to your ignition. Buying a used fob can still save you money on the hardware, but you need a locksmith or a programmer to finish the job before it becomes a working key.
