The first thing I explained, standing in the lot with her husband, is that all-keys-lost is a different job than adding a spare. When you still have a working key, the car trusts it, and I just introduce a new one. All-keys-lost means the car has no trusted keys left, so I go into the immobilizer through the diagnostic port, wipe every key that was ever registered, and start the memory clean. The reason that matters: the stolen fob is now dead to this car. It might still slide into the door lock mechanically, but the immobilizer will not let the engine fire. That was the first thing she wanted to hear, and I made sure she heard it before I touched anything.
I pulled up the immobilizer, cleared the old key data, and registered two new fobs from scratch. Cut the emergency insert blade to match the lock. Tested every function on both fobs, both doors, the trunk release, the push-button start. Both keys working before she got off the phone finishing up the police report.
She drove home that night. The dealer route would have meant a tow, a week of waiting, and spending a good chunk more than she paid me. I don't bring that up to sell against the dealer. I bring it up because she was standing in a parking lot in Shadowridge at night without a car, and the timeline difference was real.
