Near the CSUSM Area in San Marcos, a guy called me about a 2017 Camry with zero working keys. Not a lost spare situation. Zero. He had lent the only fob to a family member who left town with it, and the backup had stopped working months earlier and never got replaced.

I walked the car afterward: door handle touch unlock on both sides, start button detection from outside the vehicle, everything.
He mentioned he'd gotten a dealer quote while he was waiting for me. The number he repeated was a long one. He said mine was a fraction of what they wanted, and that I was already done before their next available appointment would have even started.
