When it was done, I walked her through every button on the fob - lock, unlock, and the other two - then had her start the car and let it idle. No stall. No warning lights. Fully written.
I showed her the confirmed key status on my screen so she could see it herself, not just take my word for it.
She had already paid the first guy, which I could not undo. What I could do was make sure the job was actually finished this time. She paid me a fraction of what the dealer quoted, and she drove home.
